Manchester62 0-2 -Britannia, first division football
Gibraltar - First Division Football - Britannia set their intentions on the table within minutes of the start with a set piece goal which lobbed into the far corner striking the crossbar and into the back of the net. With one nil down Manchester were throughout the game on the back foot. Whilst technically better Manchester were thrown back by the Wimbeldon style English football Britannia employed. Long balls forward, using the advantage of the wind pinned many a time Manchester into their area. Darting runs were coupled by aggressive and rough edged play which saw the officials having to bring out their book early to ensure that the matach remained under control.
Manchester came out for the second half hoping to break Britannia's resistance, however, a very disciplined and focused defence, assisted by central midfielders reduced Manchesters attacks to lunges forward with a true bite.
The second goal by Britannia left Manchester grasping to get a goal without success.
