On the 20th October 2014 at approximately 1800hrs fire crews tackled a fire at the former Lady Williams Cancer Centre. The first images that normally go out are those intended for the media, untouched, unaltered, and quickly out of the camera onto the wires. Then comes the after-process. Processing, editing and narrative and in this case this image lends itself to all of that. A tribute to daily heroes brings back the emphasis of what the photographer saw through his lens to the viewer, not just in clarity and technical processing, but through the process in which photography has through the ages met with the creativity of the arts.
